Oh dear Mr Brown is going to make another big mistake of his premiership. I think Mr Brown is dreaming if he thinks he can get 42 day detention without trial through both houses of parliament. Oh and if it does get through parliament, i can't see the High Court and House of Lords allowing the user of this legislation in light of the Human Rights Act 1998.
Isn't there better ways to protect our country, then losing the civil liberties the people of this country worked so hard to preserve.
I ask all members of Parliament to examine your conscience, if it is absolutley neccessary we need the 42 day measure then i reluccently say we need it.

There is no evidence of any case where the police had to release someone because they had run out of time under the present system.
Balance that against destroying Magna Carta, and I have to say I am disgusted with Brown and the spineless MPs who he has been buying off this week.
